David A. Kosa, DDS

Dr. Kosa was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in the coastal suburb of Torrance, CA. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1983 with a BS in biological science, then “defected’ to UCLA for his graduate education in dentistry. He received his DDS in 1987 and then entered into a general practice residency program at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles.

Dr. Kosa practiced general dentistry in the Los Angeles area for ten years before entering into the Graduate Endodontology program at Oregon Health Sciences University. After receiving his certificate in Endodontology in 1997, Dr. Kosa returned to Torrance to practice endodontics.

During his residency at OHSU, Dr. Kosa had found that he had fallen in love with the Northwest. So in 1999, he returned to Portland as an endodontist for Kaiser Permanente. In 2001, Drs. Overby and Mehlhaff, who happened to be former instructors at OHSU during his residency, asked him to join Columbia Endodontic Group.

He lives with his wife and sons in Portland, Oregon and loves to tinker with classic and modern musclecars.
